Homesteading is our family passion project that is filled with unique and engaging experiences. We use this sauce for strawberry shortcake, over ice cream, by itself….
Strawberry Sauce
1 qt fresh strawberries
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c sugar
In medium saucepan over medium heat, add strawberries, vanilla and sugar; mix well.
Stir every couple minutes, after 5-10 strawberries will be mushy.
Cool slightly; blend in blender.
Cool completely; refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
Serve.
