Southern Baked Beans

2 lg cans pork and beans

1/4 c brown sugar

1 T Dijon mustard

2 T molasses

1/2 small onion, finely chopped

8 slices bacon, lightly cooked (still chewy)


Prep:

-Chop onion.

-Cook bacon on low, about one minute each side.



  • PH oven to 325°. Grease 9x13” casserole dish.

  • In large bowl, mix together all ingredients, except bacon. Spread out in casserole dish.

  • Lay strips of bacon on top of beans.

  • Bake 30-45 minutes, until beans are bubbly and bacon is crisp, but not burnt.
