
Slab Chocolate Pecan Pie

Only one of my kids likes pecan pie, but they all like chocolate. This is a great pie to take to family gatherings.
Slab Chocolate Pecan Pie
Serving Size : 16 (or 2 pies)
Prep time: 1 hour 15 minutes; Cook time: 25-27 minutes
Recipe for 2 pie crusts, rolled out to 15”x11”
1 ⅓ c brown sugar, packed
1 c light corn syrup
6 eggs
3 c pecan halves
2 c semisweet or milk chocolate chips
Prep work:
-make pie crust
- PH oven to 375°. 
- Place pie crust in bottom of 13”x9” baking pan. Crimp edges around top. 
- In large mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, corn syrup and eggs. Fold in chocolate chips and pecans. 
- Pour mixture in pan, smoothing down with silicone spatula to get an even layer. 
- Bake 25-27 minutes, or until deep golden brown and mostly set in center. 
- Cool completely; refrigerate for at least an hour. 
- Cut into bars.
