Chewy Brownies

My kids happen to be Neanderthals…. They eat all the edges, which everyone knows is the best part.

Chewy Brownies

9oz dark chocolate chips or bars

1 stick salted butter

1 c sugar

2 eggs, room temperature

1 yolk, room temperature

1 c all-purpose flour, lightly packed and leveled

Preheat oven to 350.  Lightly grease 8" baking dish.

In large bowl, melt butter and chocolate in microwave for 30 seconds.  Stir, repeat; continue until chocolate is melted.

Add sugar to chocolate mixture.  Beat well.  Add eggs, yolk and flour; stir just until combined!  Do NOT overmix!

Pour batter into prepared dish.

Bake 25-30 minutes.  Let cool at least 30 minutes.  Cut into squares and serve.
