Bread Pudding

Bread Pudding


Pudding:

2 sticks melted butter

10-12 slices stale bread, broken into 

     chunks

6 beaten eggs

2 c heavy whipping cream 

2 T bourbon, optional

1 c cinnamon sugar

1 T vanilla


Sauce:

1/2 stick butter

1/4 c brown sugar

1 tap vanilla


Topping:

Real maple syrup

Vanilla bean ice cream


PH oven to 350°. Toss together melted butter and bread chunks until evenly coated. Bake 15mins. 


Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, bourbon, cinnamon sugar, vanilla. 


Take bread out of oven, pour cream mixture evenly over bread chunks. Bake 30 more minutes. 


Melt butter over medium heat, keep whisking until butter is browned. Remove from heat. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Pour over bread pudding. Bake 5-10 more minutes. 


Drizzle with syrup. Allow to settle into the pudding for a couple minutes. Top with ice cream while still hot.
