Banana Bread


Serving Size : 12

Prep time: 20 minutes; Cook time:  60 minutes


⅓ c butter, melted 

¾ c sugar

¼ c brown sugar, packed 

3 large brown bananas, mashed

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla 

1 tsp baking soda 

½ tsp cinnamon 

¼ tsp nutmeg 

1 1/2 c all-purpose flour (divided into 1/2 cups)


Prep work:

-peel bananas; mash in stand mixer 

-melt butter 


  • PH oven to 350°.  Grease a loaf pan; set aside.

  • Using whisk attachment, combine melted butter and sugar. Add bananas; mix until smooth.  

  • Add egg and vanilla to banana mixture; stir.

  • Mix in baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and flour (½ c at a time) until fully incorporated. 

  • Pour batter into prepared oaf pan.  Bake for 40-60 minutes, rotating after 20. Test with toothpick. 

  • Remove from oven; let cool completely.
