Apple Cake

Prep time: 

1 ½ c oil

2 c sugar

3 ½ c flour

2 lg eggs 

1 ½ tsp baking soda 

1 T vanilla 

1 c chopped pecans 

3 c apples, peeled and chopped

½ c flaked coconut 

½ c maraschino cherries with juice,, chopped 

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground cloves

¼ tsp nutmeg 

1 c milk

Prep work:

-chop pecans

-peel and chop apples

-chop cherries

• PH oven to 325°. Grease tall tube or  Bundt pan with lard; sprinkle with sugar. (Will make 1 ½ cakes with regular Bundt pan. 

• In stand mixer, with paddle attachment, mix together all ingredients. 

• Bake for 70 mins, starting to check at 60 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick tests clean. 

• Cool completely.
